PocketComics
This page explains, in plain words, what PocketComics stores and why.
When you create an account we keep your name, your email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We also keep what you bought, when you bought it, and the page you reached in each comic so you can continue reading on another device.
Card payments on the web are processed by Stripe. Purchases inside the Android app are processed by Google Play. We never see or store your card number: we only receive a confirmation and, for the app, a purchase reference that proves the issue was paid for.
Comic files you load from your phone are stored inside the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us, never shared with anyone, and they leave with you if you uninstall the app.
We use one cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember the language you chose. Nothing else, and no advertising trackers.
We do not sell or rent your data. We only share what is strictly necessary with the services that make the store work: Google Play (in-app purchases and subscriptions) and Stripe (card payments on the web).
You can ask us to delete your account and your data at any time by writing to the address below. Deleting the account removes your purchases and your reading progress from our systems.
